Nan makes media on Lake Superior

Our Story

I have been making videos since the mid 1990’s.

My more recent career has focused on creating compelling video content for health care leadership, care teams, staff, patients, families, & volunteers.  Before that I was privileged work with many nonprofit organizations also serving diverse communities, such as American Indian, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, low income, youth, and elders.

My most heartfelt video work is the telling of stories … to inform, train, and inspire others.

Collaborating with communities & crafting media “about them” has been very rewarding work … but now my focus is to help others tell their own stories.

My digital storytelling inspiration and facilitator training experience began with the renowned and  phenomenal organization  StoryCenter.  Through public workshops taught by digital storytelling gurus Joe Lambert, Daniel Weinshenker and Allison Myers I became enthralled with the the power of personal voice to empower individuals and create change.

From this foundation I developed my own “flavor” of curriculum to craft first person digital stories – FIRST PERSON.

Today I empower others as digital storytellers through Crafting MEDIA Workshops.

Join me as we craft media through storytelling.
